Unique Manhole Covers

This might sound so wierd but I would like to introduce to you about manhole covers in Japan today. Do you actually remember when you last paid attention to a manhole cover? Who does? That is very understandable because manhole covers are just covers and people don't care as long as they are covered but Japanese people got an idea that it would be fun if there are some local characteristic manhole covers. And here they are!!
They are very detailed, colorfull and eye-catching. In fact, there are many Japanese people who travel just to see them and take lots of photo's. Manhole covers have become a tourist attraction in Japan!!
