Japanese economical car – kei car

In Japan there are small vehicles called “kei-car/K-car.” Kei car has regulations for its size and engine displacement. It’s small as you can imagine. But because the regulation is not so restrict, it has variety of options; for example, AWD, automatic and CVT transmissions, air conditioning, and so on.

Kei-car brings the owner many benefits. Speaking of financial benefits, an insurance cost and taxes are lower than having other kind of cars. And because of its small size, it’s very easy to park the car in a small Japanese parking space.

Kei-car normally has a yellow colored license plate. Now you know which car is kei-car when you visit Japan!
