Kids shop in January

My friend who works at a shopping mall said there are so many kids shopping in January. Of course everybody comes shopping with parents, but parents don’t pay for what they buy.

Kids get money called “Otoshidama” in the New Year from their family like grandparents, aunts, and uncles. To teach kids how to use money, many parents let them use money. My parents would take half and put it in my bank account for a future use and let me spend the rest. But my mother taught me how to spend money wisely.

It’s a very good opportunity for kids to learn how to use their money. It’s nice to save some, but I understand that they want to buy what they want.

That’s why there are many kids shopping around in January.
